The Vancouver Island Seals are pleased to announce that Cynthia Fowler has been appointed as the team’s general manager by the British Columbia Elite Hockey League (BCEHL) for the 2026-27 season.
This will be Fowler’s first year as general manager for the Seals.
“I am honored to step into a role of GM of the seals at such an important time for women’s hockey. As the game continues to grow and gain recognition, I am proud to be part of a league that is advancing the sport in meaningful ways. I look forward to contributing to the continues development of the team and helping build a strong competitive organization both on and off the ice.” Fowler said
Since 2015, she has been involved with several minor hockey teams within the Alberni Valley Minor Association (AVMHA). She is the second vice president of AVMHA, a position she has held since 2023, and a product of Kelowna Minor Hockey Association.
